Student Policies and Procedures
Admissions Process
***Required only for Certification and Diploma Programs and/or Internships***
1. Students must qualify as Domestic or International students.
a. Domestic Student - Canadian citizens or permanent residents. Except for Entrance Bursaries, the following programs are available to both undergraduate and graduate domestic students.
b. International Student - Neither Canadian citizens nor permanent residents of Canada and are studying at VSBT on a Canadian study permit. For more information check out our International Students page.
2. Enrollment
a. Once qualifying the prospective student can submit their application through our web site, Online Registration or contact us toll free, 1.800.215.6702.
b. Following their online registration prospective Certification students will be asked to meet with the Principal of VSBT to complete the enrollment process. If you are an international student or live out of the area a phone conference will be scheduled.
Please note, if you are enrolling in a Custom Computer Training Course or a Standard Course a meeting with the Principal is not required.
3. Payment
a. Certification students are asked to for payment in the following sequence:
Deposit - 20% of course cost to secure your seat
Payment I - 40% due the first day of the course
Payment II - Final 40% due half way through course
b. Students for Standard Courses and Custom Computer Courses are asked to pay in full by check or credit card

Please note, receipts for payment will be issued within 21 days
Student Projects and Marks
1. Projects
a. Students are required to complete one project throughout the term of a fully functioning web site.
2. Marks
b. The projects are graded on a 200 point scale. Please, check out our Project Report for details.
Refund Policies
• Refund Policy
(1) Written notice must be provided:
(a) By a student to the Victoria School of Business and Technology Inc. when the student withdraws,
or
(b) By the Victoria School of Business and Technology Inc. to the student where the institution dismisses a student.
Where total fees have not yet been collected, the Victoria School of Business and Technology Inc. is not responsible for refunding more than has been collected to date.
Refunds before the program of study starts:
(2) (a) If written notice of withdrawal is received by the Victoria School of Business and Technology Inc. less than seven (7) calendar days after the contract is made, and before the start of a program of study, the Victoria School of Business and Technology Inc. may retain the lesser of 10% of the total fees due under the contract or $100.
(b) Subject to subsection (2) (a), if written notice of withdrawal is received by the Victoria School of Business and Technology Inc. thirty (30) calendar days or more before the start of a program of study, the Victoria School of Business and Technology Inc. may retain 10% of the total fees due under the contract.
(c) Subject to subsection (2) (a), if written notice of withdrawal is received by the Victoria School of Business and Technology Inc. less than thirty (30) calendar days before the start of a program of study, the Victoria School of Business and Technology Inc. may retain 20% of the total fees due under the contract.
Refunds after the program of study starts:
(3) (a) If written notice of withdrawal is received by the Victoria School of Business and Technology Inc., or a student is dismissed, within 10% of the program of study’s duration, the Victoria School of Business and Technology Inc. may retain 30% of the total fees due under the contract.
(b) Subject to subsection (3) (a), if written notice of withdrawal is received by the Victoria School of Business and Technology Inc., or a student is dismissed, within 30% of the program of study’s duration, the Victoria School of Business and Technology Inc. may retain 50% of the total fees due under the contract.
(c) If a student withdraws or is dismissed after 30% of the program of study’s duration, no refund is required.
