The eBusiness Certificate is offered in partnership with Gatlin Education Services.
This e-commerce online course and training program is nationally recognized and provides a comprehensive introduction to e-commerce practices and methodologies. This online certificate program is only offered in partnership with major accredited colleges and universities.
This course will examine four major topic areas:
(1) Design and Build of Online Business Website
(2) Developing Marketing and Customer Service Plans
(3) Creating a comprehensive Business Plan
(4) Creating a detailed eBusiness Design and Implementation Project Plan

Upon completion of the e-Business course students should be able to:
1. Understand the concepts and terminology related to e-Business, such as retailing, marketing and infrastructures
2. Describe at least 10 actions required to start an online business
3. Identify the business hardware, software and other equipment needs for an online business
4. Know how to choose a web host and design tool for website creation
5. Identify successful electronic products and services
6. Know how to identify a target audience for e-Business products and services
7. Understand the steps required for marketing an e-Business product or service
8. Identify the accounting, privacy and security processes that are needed to protect an online business
9. Understand the potential pitfalls of online retailing and how to avoid them
10. Create a marketing plan
11. Create a Mission and Values statement
12. Complete a comprehensive Business Plan
13. Create a comprehensive Project Plan
Upon registering, you are given an initial six months to complete the program. Should you need more time, you may request a 6-month extension at no additional charge.
